Cellular and Bio-Technologies in Traumatology and Orthopedics: Current Use Aspects

Back to the program 22 June 12:30 — 14:00 Conference Hall №2

The global shift from mechanics to biology makes the application of cellular and biotechnology an urgent issue of our time. Traumatologists associate the future development of this field of medicine with genetic technology. However, many questions remain outstanding about the development, application, and use of these technologies, and manufacturers, the medical community, and the governments feel the need to have a direct dialogue with each other. As part of the discussion, representatives of all stakeholders will discuss finding a balance in regulatory, technological and financial issues related to the implementation of cellular and biotechnology in traumatology and orthopedics.

Questions:

1.              What is the current state of development of orthobiologics in Russia?

2.              How can regulatory frameworks strengthen the field of cellular and biotechnology, instead of limiting it?

3.              How does the medical community assess the needs of patients and institutions for cellular and biotechnology?

4.              Is the industry ready to produce and implement these technologies in trauma care?
